- A city official was fired after he was arrested late last month on charges of robbery and the prevention of reporting a crime. Police say Reno revitalization manager Jeff Limpert was arrested in the early morning hours of Mar. 31 after officers responded to reports of a domestic dispute. According to the arrest report, Limpert also took several electronic devices from his wife using force during an argument. (KKOH)
- The University of Nevada, Reno is offering free medical clinics for residents who are uninsured, underinsured, or do not have a Social Security number. The clinics will be held at the University Health Moana Professional Center and are set to begin later this month. In addition to general and children's clinics, women's health clinics will also be available. (Nevada Appeal)
- A local Mexican restaurant is opening its fourth branch today at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport. Mari Chuy's Mexican Kitchen will celebrate the grand opening of its new location beginning at 11:30 a.m. The event will feature performances by a mariachi band and folk dancers.
