The City of Reno's Parks and Recreation Department and Senior Citizen Advisory Committee are pleased to partner with Truckee Meadows Community College’s (TMCC) Educational Programs to offer free, one-day Android and iPhone classes for adults 60+ looking to gain a better understanding of their smartphones. Space still remains for the final two classes set for September 25 and October 2.

During the class, instructor Gabriele Lenga will answer participants’ questions and provide a handout for all attendees to keep. The class is free to participants thanks to senior engagement grant funds from the City of Reno’s Senior Citizen Advisory Committee and hosted by the City of Reno's Parks and Recreation Department.

Classes will be held outside at Teglia's Paradise Park Activity Center in the gazebo from 9-11 a.m. on the following dates:

“We understand operating a smartphone can be overwhelming, which is why we’re excited to provide this educational opportunity to our local aging adults," said Reno City Councilmember Neoma Jardon. “Our goal is to empower attendees to stay connected virtually, simplify everyday tasks and enjoy endless creative and entertainment outlets through the use of their smartphones.”
