Under administrative direction of the Mayor and City Council, the City Clerk retains custody of and maintains the City's official records and history; and coordinates the conduct of City Council elections. The Clerk also directs, manages, supervises, and coordinates assigned activities and operations of the City Clerk's Office, including the preparation of agenda and meeting materials and minutes for City Council, Redevelopment Agency, and other boards and commission meetings. Another important role of the Clerk is responding to requests for public records.
“Mikki has done a phenomenal job during her tenure at the City of Reno, including serving as Interim City Clerk since July,” Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve said. “Her future is bright, just like The Biggest Little City, and I look forward to working with Mikki more in her capacity as City Clerk.”
