City Of Reno: Pride In The Plaza Coming To Downtown Reno

The City of Reno invites the public to the inaugural Pride in the Plaza event on Thursday, July 22, 2021 from 7 to 10:30 p.m.

The event will feature music, food trucks, performances, a costume contest and the return of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The movie screening will begin at 8:45 p.m.
“I’m truly excited to bring this event to our downtown,” Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve said. “Bring a chair, a blanket, and some toast. I’ll also be presenting my annual ‘R Pride Award’ to someone who is very deserving. We’ll see you there!”

In March 2017, the Reno City Council passed a Resolution affirming Reno as a Welcoming City, which remains committed to building a welcoming and neighborly atmosphere in our community, where all are welcome, accepted and integrated.
The Pride in the Plaza event is a symbol of Reno’s commitment to being a Welcoming City.
