Athletes 50 and older are encouraged to sign up now for the 2021 Reno-Tahoe Senior Summer Games, a popular program for seniors dedicated to promoting and implementing fitness. The Games will take place from August 16-September 1, 2021.

Registration is available at least two days before the start of each event via in-person drop-off* or online at Reno.gov/SeniorGames.
“Senior Games is just one way the City of Reno supports our seniors,” said Reno City Councilmember Neoma Jardon, who is also the Reno City Council liaison to the Senior Citizen Advisory Committee. “Keeping active and engaged is critical for the well being of older adults and is integral to the success of our community.”

The Games begin on Monday, August 16 with the first event, bowling, at High Sierra Lanes. The Games conclude on Wednesday, September 1 with the Closing Ceremony from 3 to 6 p.m. at Idlewild Park’s California Building.
Competitors can participate in events such as archery, basketball skills, bocce ball, bowling, climbing wall, go-kart racing, golf (and mini golf), horseshoes, pickleball, shuffleboard, table tennis, track & field and more. There will be opportunities to compete individually, with a partner or as part of a team. Competitors will compete according to gender, age and ability.
The registration fee is $30 per person, plus an additional $10 to $50 per-sport fee. The registration fee includes a Summer Games T-shirt, a custom medal, and a ticket to the catered lunch, also known as the Closing Ceremony. Additional Closing Ceremony lunch tickets for competitor guests and the public are available for $20.
