- A Washoe County sheriff's deputy who hit and killed a motorcyclist last October was found guilty of vehicular manslaughter Tuesday in Reno Justice Court. Deputy Jade Brinson pleaded no contest during a court appearance Tuesday morning, after which Judge Derek Dreiling found him guilty of misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter and ordered him to pay a $1,140 fine. (KRNV My News 4)
- Aha!, operated by regional carrier Expressjet Airlines, will begin flying between Reno and Palm Springs on Jan. 3. The airline will offer the flights between the cities three times a week. The flight takes 1 hour, 35 minutes. (Desert Sun)
- The idea of space tourism is growing, and it is getting much closer to reality. Sierra Nevada Corporation, based in Sparks, is teaming up with Blue Origin to build a commercial space station by the end of the decade. (KTVN)
