  1. A Reno man has been arrested on drug trafficking charges after allegedly selling fentanyl throughout Washoe county. Investigators say 23-year-old Darin Baca sold the illegal substance as well as fraudulent M30 fentanyl pills to detectives multiple times. Detectives also recovered approximately 1,000 fentanyl pills, pink powder fentanyl, and two firearms when they arrested Baca near Enterprise Road and Valley Road. (KKOH)
  2. The Reno Housing Authority has dropped its proposed bid to purchase the Sundowner after initially eyeing the former hotel and casino as a site for new affordable housing. According to a spokesperson from the RHA, the bid was dropped after the organization's proposal letter went unanswered by the property's owners. The RHA is still attempting to acquire the nearby Bonanza Inn and plans to convert the downtown property to low-income housing. (Reno Gazette Journal)
