Here are the top three stories today in Reno:
- The Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows and LIBERTY Dental Plan of Nevada have partnered to organize a series of free community Smile Club events. One such event is a day of free dental screenings at the Boys and Girls Club on Neil Road tomorrow, Apr. 6, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Attendees between the ages of 1-20 years can get a dental screening and fluoride varnish, to be performed on a first-come, first-serve basis by a licensed dental hygenist. - Looking for an easy and delicious way to support Reno's small businesses? Every Wednesday from 12:00-2:00 p.m. beginning Apr. 13, Mountain Lake Estates Retirement Living will host a local food truck vendor at the corner of its property. According to administrator Nate Williams, the purpose of Food Truck Wednesdays is to support local businesses while offering the community a "fun, outdoor midweek break — something everyone, at every age, needs."(Carson Now)
- A 40-year-old man from Sparks was arrested for "open and gross lewdness" at a Reno park. On Sunday afternoon, Washoe County Sheriff's Office (WSCO) deputies received a report of a man touching himself inappropriately at Rancho San Rafael. WSCO deputies identified the man as Christopher Meade; a similar report was made the next day, with a suspect matching Meade's physical appearance. Anyone who has been a victim or has any information on this case is asked to call the WCSO Patrol Division at (775) 328-3350 or call Secret Witness at (775) 322-4900. (FOX Reno)
