  1. Longtime Reno Assemblywoman Jill Tolles will not seek reelection next year, adding to a recent exodus of Republicans from the Legislature's lower chamber. The three-term assemblywoman said in a Thursday newsletter to supporters that she was looking forward to applying what she learned at the Legislature to a pair of teaching jobs at UNR and the National Judicial College.   2. The City of Reno is currently seeking public input and participation in the planning process for the West Wash Dam Rehabilitation Project in northwest Reno. The City invites residents to attend a virtual public meeting on Oct. 19 from 6-8 p.m. The public is welcome to participate in this project to learn about soil and water conservation issues, express views, and to participate throughout the decision-making process.
