Here are the top three stories today in Reno:

  1. Washoe County health officials report that the county only has 60 doses of the Monkeypox vaccine. The county has one suspected case of the rare infectious disease. The individual with the suspected case of Monkeypox is currently isolated and quarantined. It is unclear when the county will receive more vaccine doses. (This Is Reno)
  2. The Reno City Council has approved fee reductions for two large affordable housing complexes. Copper Mesa apartments and Pinyon Apartments were approved during the council's Wednesday meeting. The two projects will generate nearly 550 low-income residential units for the Reno housing market. Click the following link to review the two projects. (KRNV)
  3. The Reno Police Department has arrested an arson suspect. Thomas Lewis, 38, was charged with five counts of third-degree arson after allegedly setting a series of fires beginning on Friday, Jul. 22. Anyone with information about the fires that occurred near S. Virginia Street is encouraged to submit a tip with the department. (KKOH)
