Here are the top 3 stories in Reno today:
- Last Friday afternoon, Reno's art was in the national spotlight. Chair member Dr. Maria Rosario Jackson of the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) took a tour of some of the city's major artistic attractions and organizations. In fact, this year, NEA rewarded the city of Reno with the $500,000 American Rescue Plan grant. This grant will help support the recovery of local art organizations. (KOLO)
- The Discovery Museum in Reno kicked off Pride Month with its Social Services: Pride event. On Saturday evening, people aged 21 and older had the opportunity to engage in a variety of interactive, hands-on activities and see live performances at the museum, including a "communal art installation and drag queen science demonstrations." The event was held as part of the museum's ongoing Social Science series. (KRNV)
