🌱 New Middle School Helps Crowding Issue + Garage Fire Contained

Here are the top three stories today in Reno:
- Washoe County School District's crowding issue is finding some relief with the opening of O'Brien Middle School. The school was officially opened during a ceremony yesterday. The new school has the capacity for 1,400 students to be educated. Students will begin learning at O'Brien MS on Aug. 15. (KRNV)
- The Reno Fire Department responded to a garage fire on Monday morning. The incident occurred on Foley Way around 4:00 a.m. Responding fire crews arrived to find the home's garage completely engulfed in flames. Thankfully, no one was injured during the incident. The fire was largely contained to the garage with some damage sustained to the home's attic area. (KOLO)
- The brushfire north of Reno is being contained. The incident near Silber Lake off of Red Rock Road is being contained by the Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue. According to fire officials, no structures are currently being threatened and the five-acre fire is under investigation. (KKOH)
