- Yesterday morning, two people were wounded and one person was left dead after a shooting took place near an airport in Reno. According to the Reno Police Department, several people were in a vehicle when a man approached and fired several shots into the car. The assailant struck three people. No names have been disclosed and the investigation is currently ongoing. (KOLO)
- A University of Nevada, Reno researcher is aiding in the Mekong giant catfish restoration. Zeb Hogan is a fish biologist at UNR and currently works with the U.S. Agency for International Development to help support and lead the Wonders of the Mekong project. According to reports, an international team composed of scientists and fisheries professionals recently released a "large assemblage of iconic fish species" into the Tonle Sap Lake in Southeast Asia. (Nevada Appeal)
- This past Saturday evening, a pedestrian was seriously injured while lying on a private driveway in Reno. The incident took place on State Street, where authorities found a 69-year-old man down on the sidewalk. During the investigation, police discovered the vehicle that struck the man "was backing [out] southbound from a private driveway on State Street." (KRNV)
