🌱 Reno Actor In 'Jurassic World' Sequel + Reno River Festival Begins

Here are the top three stories today in Reno:
- An actor born and raised in Reno will appear on the big screen next month in "Jurassic World Dominion." Kristoffer Polaha plays Wyatt Huntley in the movie sequel, which is scheduled to open on Jun. 9. The actor also recently starred in, directed, and produced a short film called "A Work of Art," which won the Best Short Drama Award at the Chandler International Film Festival. (KOLO)
- A friendly reminder that the Reno River Festival kicks off today at Wingfield Park! Beginning at 9:00 a.m. today and continuing into tomorrow, attendees can enjoy live music, shopping, food and drink, and craft beer and seltzer tours. - Fire crews quickly extinguished a barn fire that broke out in south Reno on Thursday afternoon. The blaze was contained to the barn located off Secret Pass Road, according to Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, and did not spread to nearby wildlands. Thankfully, no one was injured; the cause of the fire remains under investigation as of Friday evening. (FoxReno.com)
