Here are the top three stories today in Reno:

  1. A bicyclist suffered minor injuries after colliding with a vehicle near the intersection of South Virginia and Linden Streets. The collision took place around 2:00 p.m. on Sunday; the cyclist later received medical treatment. According to the Reno Police Department, the bicyclist was riding the wrong way and received a citation. (KOLO)
  2. Two people in Reno's Stead neighborhood have been displaced after a house fire, concurrent with a power outage. On Saturday afternoon, NV Energy shut down power for about 90 minutes so the Reno Fire Department could isolate a detached, live power line. The fire department is still determining if the power line caused the house fire on Mount Baldy Street, or if the power line had been burned up by the fire. (KOLO)
  3. Calling all house hunters: five new houses have just hit the Reno market! Three properties are in Reno proper, including a 3-bedroom/2-bathroom for $579,000, and two others are in nearby Sun Valley. Visit Patch for prices and further listing information on all five houses. (Reno Patch)
