  1. Reno council supports a ban on wildlife killing contests, which are mostly coyote hunts. City council members passed a resolution on Wednesday in support of outlawing the practice, which Mayor Hillary Schieve called 'heinous.' Council members voted 6-1 to pass the resolution, urging state wildlife officials to enact a ban when the Nevada Board of Wildlife Commissioners meets later this year. (KRNV My News 4)
  2. A man gets probation after leaving his elderly mother in a hot car for eight hours outside Reno business. The woman died at the hospital, investigators say from extreme heat stroke. Her core body temperature they say was 106 degrees. (KRNV My News 4)
