🌱 RNO Experiencing High Traffic Volume + 39 North Pole Village

Good morning, Reno! Let's get you all caught up to start this Tuesday, Nov. 23 off on an informed note. Here's what's happening around town today.


First, today's weather:

Here are the top stories today in Reno:

  1. While many people in Northern Nevada opted to stay home last year during the pandemic that will not be the case this year. "We're hovering just above 2019 numbers right now and we were very busy in 2019," said Stacey Sunday with the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority. "We're expecting a lot of passengers to come through the airport this year." (KOLO)
  2. The 39 North Pole Village, a free light festival, will occur from Dec. 2 to Dec. 4 in downtown Sparks this year. According to 39 North Downtown, their village is the largest free holiday festival in the area and more than 20,000 people are expected to attend. (KRNV My News 4)
  3. The Reno Police Department (RPD) was looking for an elderly man after he went missing on Saturday afternoon. Reno Police say Richard Motter was found and is now safe with his family.(KRNV My News 4)
