- This past Tuesday, the College Board announced that they are going to move the SAT to a digital platform in 2024 to accomodate for the state of the world. The students and educators of Reno all have mixed opinions about the transition to the online SAT. However, students who wish to pursue higher education in Nevada are only mandated to take the ACT, which has been available to take online since 2018. (KRNV My News 4)
- The University of Nevada, Reno has been selected to become a partner with TechWise. It is an inclusion program created by TalentSpirit Inc. that enables students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds to prepare for high-growth tech careers. 20 undergraduate students have already been awarded with full program scholarships to participate in the 18-month virtual program. - Six people have been put behind bars due to their connections with a residential burglary investigation in Lemmon Valley. According to reports, the six suspects broke into cargo containers and stole around $200,000 worth of medical equipment, vehicles, and priceless family heirlooms. (KOLO)
