The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Reno.
Hello again, Reno! Important update: You all, as readers, have made the Reno Daily so successful that it is my honor to announce the next stage of the newsletter. Patch is looking for a local writer and entrepreneur to take the helm of the Reno Daily. Although I have loved getting to know this community, we want to pass the torch to someone truly local to write about Reno long term. So if you're interested in earning extra income while making this newsletter a more valuable resource for your neighbors, learn more and apply here.

Here are the top 3 stories in Reno today:
- Yesterday in the early afternoon, several apartments caught on fire at a Stead condominium complex on Lear Boulevard. The Reno Fire Department was called onto the scene and immediately requested more engines to help support them when they arrived. Traffic on northbound Stead Boulevard and westbound Lear Boulevard was temporarily shut down. According to investigators, the blaze was caused by wind pushing a barbecue fire into the complex. (KOLO)
- David Wise is a Reno sports legend for skiing. Last Friday evening, hundreds of family and fans gathered at the Renaissance for a watch party to show their support. Since Wise is a former student of Sky Tavern Ski School, he and his family wanted to give back to the community through this event. All the proceeds from the event will go towards supporting the school. (KRNV My News 4)
- Go back to the basics at The Cup Café, a small-town staple with old-school charm! The menu offers American breakfast and brunch comfort food with a twist. The restaurant has occupied the space on 6770 South Virginia Street, which previously hosted a rotating array of restaurants. (ThisisReno)
