Here are the top stories in Reno today:
- When the Orvis School of Nursing students were no longer allowed in labor and delivery rooms because of safety precautions related to COVID-19, the school had to get creative on how to continue to provide students with crucial labor and delivery education. Fortunately, the Orvis is able to offer up to 50% of the curriculum through simulations so they were able to purchase a maternal childbirth simulator through generous outside donations. (Nevada Today)
- A semi-truck that caught fire and dangled from a bridge snarled traffic on I-80 west of Reno Sunday afternoon. Police said luckily no one was hurt and the fire was quickly extinguished. (KRNV My News 4)
- The airline aha!, powered by veteran ExpressJet Airlines, today inaugurated nonstop service to Pasco/Tri-Cities, Wash. This is the first of eight nonstop aha! flights to smaller western U.S. cities from aha!'s hub and home base at Reno-Tahoe International Airport. (KOLO)
