1. The City of Reno has taken a giant sustainability leap ahead of other major U.S. cities. On Tuesday, the city and Ledger8760, the 24/7 carbon tracking platform that measures energy, emissions, and utility information, announced the launch of a public portal that comprehensively and accurately captures and monitors Reno's carbon footprint. By tracking emissions on a 24/7 basis, the city can understand how usage patterns change throughout the course of a day, month, or season. (Yahoo Finance)
2. The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine has announced free Outreach Clinics for the region's medically uninsured. Northern Nevadans who are uninsured, underinsured, or without a social security number can receive free medical care at upcoming clinics from Dec.-March 2022, at the new clinical location on Moana Lane in Reno. At this time, the Student Outreach Clinics and Rural Outreach Clinics do not have COVID-19 vaccines for patient distribution. (Nevada Today)
