🌱 Teen Charged With Attempted Murder + Artown Show Auditions

Here are the top three stories in Reno today:

  1. A 19-year-old is charged with attempted murder after allegedly firing several shots inside a local business on Jul. 3. According to Reno police, the incident stemmed from a confrontation between an employee and two customers. One of the customers, Kalari Askari Davis, reportedly pulled out a gun and began to shoot; the victims were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. (KOLO)
  2. Artown, in collaboration with the Missoula Children's Theatre, is hosting auditions for Little Red Riding Hood. Children between the ages of 6-17 are encouraged to audition at Wooster High School from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Jul. 11. The performance is scheduled for Saturday, Jul. 16. (FoxReno.com)
  3. Two people have been displaced after a west Reno apartment fire. The Reno Fire Department responded to a call at The Apex at Sky Valley Apartments on Tuesday around 5:17 p.m. Though the blaze significantly damaged the unit, the two residents and multiple animals were thankfully unharmed.
