Here are the top 3 stories in Reno today:
- Two men were injured in an overnight park shooting located at Miguel Ribera Park near Nutmeg Place. This incident took place at around 12:00 AM yesterday morning. The victims were allegedly shot by a group of assailants. They were both taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. (KOLO)
- The Gender, Race and Identity (GRI) Club at the University of Nevada, Reno needs people's help in finding more donations for the club's new Gender Affirming Closet. The Gender Affirming Closet's mission is to provide a safe space for people to figure out and express their identity for free. The club's co-founder, Indigo Hinojos, says that they are dedicated to supporting those who identify as transgender, nonbinary, genderqueer, as well as any other student or faculty/staff members in need. - Not too far from the Sparks Marina, the fire department was called to the scene to stop a raging fire at the Victorian RV Park. One trailer was heavily damaged, and the two vehicles nearby were also burned. Thankfully, no one was in the RV went the fire started to spread. (KOLO)
