Here are the top three stories today in Reno:
- The University of Nevada, Reno's logging team reformed after disbanding during the COVID-19 pandemic. The team consists of seven students practicing logging sports to preserve tradition and understanding. Students who are interested in joining the team can contact club president Jess Paoli. - The annual Earth Day celebration is returning to Idlewild Park on Apr. 24. The celebration offers attendees the opportunity to explore educational exhibits, participate in activities, and watch live performances. The community is being encouraged to bike, walk, or use public transportation to arrive at the event. (KRNV)
- Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve is calling for volunteers to join the Reno River Community Clean Up. The event will be on Mar. 26 between 9:00 a.m. and noon. The clean up will focus on the Truckee River and surrounding areas. Volunteers can sign up online. (Press Release Desk)
