Here are the top 3 stories in Reno today:

The committee has narrowed the field to 14 options that include seven educators, a politician and a developer, as well as five names based on local geography. The public can offer their input on the finalists through Feb. 17 at 5 p.m. (Reno Gazette Journal)

Police responded to the scene located on the 2800 block of Kietzke Lane around 9:30 p.m. where they learned a car traveling southbound on Kietzke hit the pedestrian who was crossing the road mid-block. The driver stopped and checked on the pedestrian who was lying in the roadway. A second car hit the pedestrian and left the scene after stopping momentarily. (KRNV My News 4)
