• Clark County approves $90M affordable housing project for veterans in Sunrise Manor (fox5vegas.com) — A $90 million veterans-focused affordable housing complex is coming to Sunrise Manor, bringing 348 units, including 108 transitional homes for unhoused veterans, to a 15-acre site near Tree Line and Vegas Valley drives. Clark County commissioners unanimously approved the Patriot Housing LV project, which will feature wellness-focused amenities, security, and shuttle services, with completion expected in 2028.
   

• East Las Vegas Families Receive 2,500 Free Meals Through Community Partnership (963kklz.com) — Families in Sunrise Manor and nearby east valley neighborhoods were among 2,500 households receiving free meals at a large distribution hosted by Grace City Church and partner nonprofits. The event, sponsored by Clark County Commission District E candidate Manny Kess, highlighted rising food insecurity in Southern Nevada, where roughly one in six residents struggles to reliably access enough food.
