2026 North Country Career Expo Sept. 15 In Lancaster

Professionals from a variety of fields will come together to share hands-on activities that will provide a real look at everyday work.

(North Country Career Expo)

LANCASTER, NH — Join us Tuesday, Sept. 15, from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., in-person, for the North Country Career Expo at the Lancaster Fairgrounds.

After the success of the inaugural event held back in 2024, UNH Cooperative Extension, White Mountains Regional Middle-High School, and the NH Division of Forests and Lands, have continued our partnership to provide students in grades 7-12 in Coös County, northern Grafton County, northern Carroll County in NH, northeastern Vermont, and northwestern Maine, the opportunity to visit and experience some of the career opportunities available right here in the North Country.

This event is all about interactive exploration. Dozens of professionals from a variety of fields will come together to share hands-on demonstrations, displays, and activities that will provide a real look at the work they do every day. Instead of simply hearing about careers, students will have the opportunity to try new skills, ask questions, and experience a variety of fields firsthand.

In our inaugural event held in 2024, in addition to speaking with prospective employers and businesses, students were running log loaders, portable sawmills, firewood processors, skidders, farm tractors, portable welders, backhoes, and plow trucks. Hands-on experience is the big difference between this event and many other career events being held.
