Bridges® by EPOCH at Nashua Delivers Donations to Local Domestic Violence Shelter
Team Members and Area Professionals Decorate 36 Doughnuts to Provide Essential Items for Janice's House
Nashua, NH - February 2026 – The team at Bridges® by EPOCH at Nashua recently turned a creative doughnut decorating class into a tangible gift for local survivors of domestic violence.
The event, led by artist Gohar Bazemore, brought together team members and local professionals to decorate doughnuts as part of a "design-to-donate" fundraiser. For every doughnut decorated, Bridges® by EPOCH at Nashua pledged to purchase a much-needed item for Janice’s House, an emergency shelter for survivors of domestic violence.
The donation totaled 36 essential items (plus several extra) specifically selected from the Janice’s House Wish List. These products, including toiletries, snacks, and household essentials, will support those in the organization’s Transitional Living Programs as well as those staying in Janice’s House emergency shelter.

Wendy Sage-Matsis, Senior Advisor at Bridges® by EPOCH at Nashua, said the team used royal icing, fondant, and freehand cutting to decorate homemade coconut cake doughnuts under Bazemore’s guidance.
“We had such a great time learning from a local artist while supporting an organization that is so vital to our community,” said Sage-Matsis. “Every one of the 36 doughnuts decorated represented a resource for someone in need. We were honored to drop off these items to support the women and children at Janice’s House.”
