In the wake of the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire’s Twitter/X account (LPNH) being suspended following a series of threats against New Hampshire Democrats, Jeremy Kauffman conveyed threatening language against Democrats on his personal account.

The Libertarian Party of New Hampshire (LPNH) account on X.com was suspended following recent tweets that supported the mass killings of Democrats. When House Democratic Leader Alexis Simpson, D-Exeter, denounced the post, the team behind the LPNH account advocated for her death. LPNH, chaired by Kauffman, is no longer associated with the official New Hampshire Libertarian political party in New Hampshire.

Most recently on Oct. 18, Kauffman posted on his account lamenting the suspension of LPNH on Twitter/X.

“It is good when the democrats who wish to enslave Free State children die,” Kauffman posted on Oct. 18.

According to a statement from the Free State Project, Kauffman has not been associated with the Free State Project for several years and “does not speak for the Free State Project, and we have no influence over his activities.”

“The Free State Project parted ways with Mr. Kauffman several years ago over rhetoric our Board of Directors determined was inconsistent with the organization’s long-standing values and principles — and those of its many thousands of participants,” the statement read.

The Free State project was started in 2001 with the idea of a “mass migration to concentrate libertarians in one small state,” and now has between 6,000-10,000 participants.

Earlier in his online post, Kauffman said it is “exceedingly disappointing to see X cave to government pressure and engage in this type of political censorship,” referring to the suspension of the LPNH account.

He noted the LPNH is exploring a lawsuit against the New Hampshire government and has already sent both right-to-know and preservation requests.

“Do not attack any Republicans who condemned or said anything negative about LPNH aside from Ayotte. It’s okay for them to do what they need to do to get elected. No elected Free Stater actually has a problem with LPNH, it’s all just kayfabe,” Kauffman told his 204.9k followers.

He added, “I will always celebrate evil perishing. Many Free Staters will. Part of the benefit of being in New Hampshire is not being trapped in the rotten egalitarian moral framework that has become pervasive worldwide. It is good when the democrats who wish to enslave Free State children die. All Free Staters should feel comfortable saying this with their head high.”

Kauffman ended his post by advertising his own Libertarian movement called the Free State Party, which is not connected with the Free State Project despite its name.

Republican Gov. Kelly Ayotte had also joined the call to have the LPNH account banned, and wrote a letter to Michael O’Herlihy, X.com’s Head of Safety urging to have the account removed.

“Violent rhetoric is completely unacceptable and has no place in our civil discourse. These posts plainly violate X’s own rules on violent content, and I’m calling on X to remove them and suspend the account immediately,” Ayotte said in the letter.

The following is Jeremy Kauffman’s Oct. 18 Tweet. It was posted along with the X suspension notice and a letter from Gov. Ayotte to Twitter calling for LPNH to be banned from Twitter/X.

“Some quick thoughts on@lpnh‘s X ban: 1) It is exceedingly disappointing to see X cave to government pressure and engage in this type of political censorship. 2) LPNH is exploring a lawsuit against the New Hampshire government and has already sent both right-to-know and preservation requests. 3) Yes, you should still vote straight Republican in November. I know it sucks and feels gross. But the time for revenge against Ayotte is years down the road, not this November. 4) Do not attack any Republicans who condemned or said anything negative about LPNH aside from Ayotte. It’s okay for them to do what they need to do to get elected. No elected Free Stater actually has a problem with LPNH, it’s all just kayfabe. 5) Notice how many libertarians have “last man”-style morality. They are flat, domesticated, soft human beings with no philosophy, sophistication or will. Slaves not to the government, but to themselves. A person who seeks approval from those who want him dead deserves pity and nothing more. 6) I will always celebrate evil perishing. Many Free Staters will. Part of the benefit of being in New Hampshire is not being trapped in the rotten egalitarian moral framework that has become pervasive worldwide. It is good when the democrats who wish to enslave Free State children die. All Free Staters should feel comfortable saying this with their head high. 7) Follow@freestatepty if you want to see what I’m building next (though do not expect LPNH 2.0, it’s quite different) 8) Move to New Hampshire if you want to experience the best possible place to live and the deep satisfaction that comes from advancing solutions to the most fundamental problems.”
