3-Alarm Fire in Amherst

UPDATE, 11 a.m.: The fire was knocked down within about a half hour, and crews are still cleaning up the scene.

A Milford firefighter reportedly suffered minor injuries fighting the fire.

Firefighters are at the scene of a 3-alarm fire on Hickory Drive in Amherst this morning.

The fire was first reported around 8:30 a.m. at 22 Hickory Drive, according to emergency radio broadcasts. Crews on scene are reporting heavy fire, which has now extended into the attic.
