5 Great Things To Do in NH This Weekend

Why not check out some fun things to do in New Hampshire this weekend?

1. GET PAMPERED AND STYLED FOR A GOOD CAUSE! Arcadya Salon & Spa in Manchester is hosting its second annual Cut-A-Thon fundraiser from 11 a.m.- 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9.  Guests donate just $10 for each of the five services offered, including haircuts, express manicures, express pedicures, chair massages and brow waxing. All proceeds will go to Families in Transition, who  will use the money raised to provide nutritious meals for the families at its Lowell Street Housing Program in Manchester.

2. CELEBRATE THOSE PUMPKINS! The Milford Pumpkin Festival is taking place all weekend with a whole lot of good times in store for visitors. Huge pumpkins will be weighed and others will be catapulted into the sky. Besides those tasty pumpkins there is also beer tasting, a talent show, live music and more all weekend. Be there friday night when it all starts.

3. HAVE A LAUGH WITH YOUR SIGNIFICANT OTHER! The Palace Theatre in Manchester will begin showing “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” this Friday at 7:30 p.m. According to the theater, “This celebration of the mating game takes on the truths and myths behind that contemporary conundrum know as “the relationship”. This hilarious show pays tribute to those who have loved and lost, to those who have fallen on their face at the portal of romance, to those who have dared to ask, 'Say, what are you doing Saturday night?' If this show were a blind date, you'd feel ‘relieved, grateful and pleasantly surprised.” There are more showings this weekends with ticket prices rangingfrom $20 to $45.

4. HIT THE ARCADE WITH THE KIDS! The Pinball Wizard Arcade in Pelham has loads of awesome classic and modern pinball machines and arcade games. I recently went there and found plenty more to love for both kids and adults alike. They even have a competitive Pac-Man game where you can compete to gobble up your friends! Plus, you get 100 tokens for only $20, providing hours of fun.

5. GET INTO SOME YANKEE HUMOR! Join Fred Maple, the Frost Heaves Players, and the Speed Bumps band at the Peterborough Players Theatre for "comedy, music, and assorted nonsense." The shows this weekend will be Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Share a laugh with your fellow New Englanders as they celebrate true Northeastern comedy.
