Troopers were sent to a single vehicle accident on Main Street in Gilsum at just before 11 p.m. where a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt was reportedly traveling east at a high rate of speed, left the road, struck several trees, and then a home at the intersection of Banks Road and Main Street, according to a report.

A female passenger, in her late 30s, was injured and transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. The driver, Baldinelli, was not injured, according to Sgt. Philip Gaiser.

Baldinelli was reportedly determined to be under the influence of alcohol and he was arrested. He was held on cash bail and is due in court on Oct. 5.

“Although the investigation is still on-going it is believed that alcohol and speed played a factor in the accident,” Gaiser stated.

State Police were assisted on scene by the Gilsum Fire and Rescue team, the Keene Fire Department, and Diluzio Ambulance.

Anyone with information relative to the investigation is asked to call Trooper Hawley Rae at 603-223-8494.
