As we look ahead to November's elections, Amherst Patch is devoted to bring you the information you need about the races. Here are five races/issues that we will be following through the November elections.

Obama vs. Romney. This is obviously the big one. Both candidates understand the importance of winning New Hampshire's four Electoral College votes in November, which is why the state has been both stump pretty aggressively this year, and the Amherst area has already had a visit from at . Romney even paid a visit to Milford today, while Obama is coming June 25.

Race To Replace Lynch. Democrat and Former State Sen. Maggie Hassan hopes to succeed Gov. John Lynch as the state's 81st chief executive, with Jackie Cilley running as her Democrat opponent. Kevin Smith and Ovide Lamontagne are the top contenders for the Republican nomination.

Amherst Candidate Steps Up.  Republicans who filed Thursday to run against Charlie Bass in the 2nd Congressional District. Will we see a local candidate in the U.S. House of Representatives?

Bragdon Running Again. Senate President Peter Bragdon filed for reelection to the state Senate from District 11, which was shrunk down this year.

Redistricting. District 11 is now smaller and includes only Amherst, Merrimack, Milford, and Wilton. The old District 11 did not have Merrimack, but included Greenville, Jaffrey, New Ipswich, Peterborough, Rindge, Sharon and Temple. This will make for an interesting shake up this election season.
