“The vehicle was subsequently stopped in the area of a local condominium complex where the officer made contact with the operator of the vehicle who was identified as Romulo Dominic Valdez,” MacLeod noted. “While speaking the Valdez, the officer observed signs of impairment due to the consumption of alcoholic beverages.”
Valdez was later arrested. The charge was elevated to second offense after the officer found out about a previous conviction. After Valdez was arrested, police allegedly found him to be in possession of a narcotic drug and those charges were added.
Valdez was processed and released on personal recognizance bail. He’s due in court on April 28.
