Amherst Man Indicted For Forgery

Daniel Nugent faces felony charges for stealing over $1,000 using forged checks.

An Amherst man faces up to 35 years in state prison for allegedly stealing over $1,000 through forgery.

Daniel Nugent, 21, of Amherst in February after he had allegedly passed multiple forged checks in the city last year.

Nugent had cashed checks under Amherst business Dynacon Builders and its owner Ron Barry. He had also forged checks from a man named Ricky Michaud, according to court documents.
