Amherst Police Log: Amherst Man Charged with Domestic Violence

Incidents

• 8:21 p.m. on Aug. 19, 2015: The Amherst Police Department responded to a single vehicle accident on Amherst Street (car v. deer). No injuries were reported.
• 12:25 a.m. on Aug. 21: A single vehicle accident, without injuries, was reported on County Road.
• 11:28 a.m. on Aug. 22: Another car vs. deer accident was reported on Route 101.
• 9:13 a.m. on Aug. 23: The Amherst Police Department responded to a single vehicle accident, with injuries, on Route 13.
• 10:26 p.m. on Aug. 24: The Amherst Police Department responded to a single vehicle accident on Roberge Drive. No injuries were reported.

Arrests

On Aug. 20, 2015 at 10:45 p.m., the Amherst Police Department detained a juvenile on a charge of theft. Court action is anticipated.

Matthew Moreau, 32, of Amherst, was arrested at 5 p.m. on Aug. 24, on a charge of domestic violence. Moreau was released on $800 PR bail, with an arraignment date set for Sept. 17, 2015, at the Milford District Court.

Daniel Valente, 38, of Brookline, was arrested at 6:15 a.m. on Aug. 25, on a charge of driving after suspension. Valente was released on $500 PR bail, with an arraignment date set for Sept. 10, 2015, at the Milford District Court.
