Amherst Police Log: Teens Face Drug Charges

Incidents

• 11:42 p.m. on Dec. 26, 2014: Amherst Police were sent to a crash in the Walmart parking lot. No injuries were reported.
• 1:09 p.m. on Dec. 29: Police were sent to a one-car accident, without injuries, on Boston Post Road.
• 1:09 p.m. on Dec. 31: A single vehicle accident was reported on Spring Road.

Arrests

Naya Friel, 24, of Amherst, was arrested at 4:06 p.m. on Dec. 29, 2014, for driving after suspension. Friel is scheduled to be arraigned on Jan. 15, in Milford District Court.

Gene Daniel Simpson, 25, of Amherst, was arrested at 10:45 a.m. on Dec. 30, and charged with possession of a controlled drug and transportation of a controlled drug. He’ll be arraigned on Jan. 22.

Cameron Smith, 17, of Nashua, was arrested at 10:54 p.m. on Dec. 31, on a possession of a controlled drug charge. He’s due in court on Jan. 22.

A juvenile was also taken into custody on a transportation of controlled drug charge at 10:54 p.m. on Dec. 31.
