Amherst Police Log: Woman Arrested for DWI

Incidents

• 1:12 a.m. on Aug. 6, 2015: The Amherst Police Department responded to a single vehicle accident on Boston Post Road. No injuries were reported.
• 11:06 a.m. on Aug. 12: Minor injuries were reported after police responded to a single vehicle accident on Chestnut Hill Road.
• 2:46 p.m. on Aug. 12: The Amherst Police Department responded to a two-car accident on Boston Post Road. No injuries were reported.
• 11:24 a.m. on Aug. 13: A two-car crash was reported at the Amherst Crossing parking lot. No injuries were reported.

Arrests

Matthew Helstein, 37, of York, ME, was arrested at 12:20 a.m. on Aug. 9, 2015, on a charge of driving after suspension. Helstein was released on $500 PR bail, with an arraignment date set for Sept. 3, 2015, at the Milford District Court.

Kenneth Bernard, 21, of Providence, RI, was arrested at 5:10 p.m. on Aug. 10, on a charge of driving after suspension. Bernard was released on $800 PR bail, with an arraignment date set for Sept. 3, 2015, at the Milford District Court.

At 6:40 p.m. on Aug. 13, the Amherst Police Department responded to a single vehicle accident on Storybrook Lane. No injuries were reported. The operator, Elyse Zissulis, 24, of Amherst, was arrested for DWI, and released on $2,500 PR bail, with an arraignment date set for Sept. 3, 2015, at the Milford District Court.

At 11 p.m. on Aug. 13, the Amherst Police Department detained a juvenile on a charge of theft. Court action is anticipated.

Shauna Myers, 18, of Francestown, was arrested at 11 p.m. on Aug. 13, on a charge of theft. Myers was released on $800 PR bail, with an arraignment date set for Sept. 3, 2015, at the Milford District Court.
