Amherst Police Seek Assistance with Burglary Cases

Four businesses on Route 101A were burglarized on Nov. 19. Do you recognize the man in these surveillance shots?

AMHERST, NH — Amherst Police are investigating four burglary incidents at commercial businesses on Route 101A last weekend and are asking for the public’s help identifying a possible suspect, according to Amherst Chief of Police Mark O. Reams. The burglaries are believed to have occurred on Saturday morning, the press statement noted.

“Entry was forced into the establishments where petty cash and several laptops were taken,” Reams noted.

The businesses include Kathy Blake Dance Studio, Gymnastics Village, DAPR Engineering, and Sunrise Children’s Center.

“In the case Sunrise Daycare, approximately $600 was stolen, most of which consisting of fundraising money recently raised for classroom enrichment projects,” Reams alleged. “The Amherst Police Department is seeking assistance in identifying this suspect as well as any information relative to these crimes.”

Surveillance video screenshots were taken from one of the businesses. The lone perpetrator is described as white and in his late 20s and early 30s, according to a press alert.
