The band currently numbers approximately 35 members from all over Southern New Hampshire. The band annually performs a series of 8-10 summer concerts, a Christmas celebration, and a spring concert to benefit an area charity.

They rehearse regularly on Tuesday nights throughout the year at Souhegan High School.

The conductor receives a modest stipend, but this is essentially a volunteer position.

Interested candidates should submit a letter of application and resume to info@amhersttownband.org before Tuesday, May 15.  They will invite several of the best-qualified applicants to conduct the band at one of their regular rehearsals during June as they prepare the repertoire for the summer season.
