Amherst Track & Field Participant to MIT Champion

Amherst Recreation would like to congratulate Jacqueline Brew on her recent Track & Field victories.

Brew, who got her start in Amherst Track & Field, is now a MIT Champion.  This spring, MIT claimed the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) championship and Jacqueline Brew was a major part of their win.

The 4x400-meter relay team, made up of Brew, Martha Goss, and Jamie Simmons, set a new MIT record with a time of 3:49.28 and took first place.

Brew also placed first in the 60-meter hurdles. 

“While we can't say for sure that Jackie would not be running track now if it had not been for Amherst Rec Track, there is no question where she got her start,” said father Dwight Brew.
