Amherst Updating Earth Removal Permits
The planning director has drafted an application in response to upcoming work.

The Town of Amherst has drafted a much-needed application for future construction projects.
Planning director Sarah Marchant has developed an application form for future earth removal projects in Amherst. This is in response to a gravel removal operation coming in August.
She said that there have been similar removal operations, but they came before the establishment of a gravel ordinance. The ordinance was put into place without a form for applicants to fill out. (Read the ordinance here)
