Barre Classes Begin Jan. 22 at Thrive Wellness!

Barre is a ballet inspired workout that will strengthen and stretch the entire body.

With a focus on form, barre is an effective, safe, fun workout for all fitness levels.
It is very low-impact and safe for the joints and spine.

Low impact doesn’t mean low-energy though! Come prepared to move, sweat and laugh!

No experience (or tutu) required!

New to Barre?
What to expect...
The class usually starts with sequences standing at the barre and working the legs. In between each segment, we pause to stretch the muscles we’ve just worked. The movements are modifiable for all fitness levels.

Some work is done away from the barre to improve stability and balance. A low impact cardio segment re-energizes us about halfway though the class. Next up, segments to tone the abs and arms.
Finally, we end with a well deserved stretch.

What to wear...

Wear comfortable clothes that will allow you to move freely. Layers are great so you stay comfortable throughout class. Barre can be done barefoot, in flexible shoes, ballet slippers or grippy socks.

What to bring...
Bring a water bottle, towel and a yoga mat if you have one. Don’t worry if you don’t have one-
there are mats at the studio for you to use.
