Baboosic Lake Rowing Informational Meeting Set

All members of the community are invited to the Baboosic Lake Rowing Informational Meeting on June 6th at Souhegan High School!

Have you ever had an interest in learning how to row? Now is your chance to learn how to row, meet new friends and help build a community program that will provide long term benefits for the people of the Baboosic Lake Region. A group of residents in Amherst have come together to create The Baboosic Lake Rowing Club. The Club will be hosting its inaugural Learn to Row Program for youths (Grade 8 and above) and adults this summer on the lake. The adult and youth programs will be run at different times in order to provide flexibility for work schedules. The program will run in the morning from July 15th to August 2nd. Please go to the Amherst Town Rec Website to register(http://www.amherstrec.org).

Additionally, on June 6th at 7 PM at Souhegan High School, there will be an informational meeting regarding the Learn to Row Program as well as the greater vision for the Baboosic Lake Rowing Club. This meeting is open to all members of the community, both youth and adult. “The Learn to Row Program is only the first step in our plan to create a thriving and competitive club in Amherst,” says Chris Evans. Please come to this informational meeting to learn more about the sport, the community members building the program and how you can get involved.

If you have any questions or comments regarding the Learn to Row Program or any rowing initiative, please contact Jim Kaveney or Tim Cotreau at baboosiclakerowing@yahoo.com.
