Democrat Hypocrisy? Points to Ponder
When it comes to criticizing state budgets get out of the glass house!
Before we forget the past prior to this coming election perhaps it would be wise to review the "accomplishments" of the prior administration during its tenure. Much ink has been expended criticizing this terms budget and its alleged dastardly ramifications on our states residents and businesses. The recent example of the horrendous and irresponsible allegations by the Maggie Hassan that there is a direct connection between this budget and the mishandling of the Hep C crimes at Exeter Hospital comes to mind. But let's retreat further back. Below are just a few of the drastic, draconian measures taken against our citizens to balance a bloated and underfunded 2010 budget.
SPECIAL SESSION HB 1-FN-A 2010 did the following.
Made TANF program permissive rather than mandatory, allows DHHS to transfer money, dedicated for critical services programs, to reduce deficits, allowed money dedicated to the removal of lead paint preventing the poisoning or our children to be used for staff funding (apparently more jobs carry a higher priority then healthy kids),further reduced appropriations for 2 branches of government to fund their overspending, reduced the funding or payments for 2 juvenile programs, You'll LOVE this: PROMOTED cigarette smoking by refusing to increase the tax on cigarettes while doing so for all other tobacco products, ordered the lapse of retirement pension benefit health insurance funds, reduced state funding for DHHS, reduced commuter bus funding, OH NO, suspended payments to hospitals. There's much more if you read the whole bill.
