Remembering Loved Ones

Creating a small room box, scene or vignette, is a great way to have something full of wonderful memories of a loved one to keep them close to your heart.

When my Dad passed away, I knew I wanted something to remember him, that was more then just a picture, I want to remember who he was and what he loved, not just what he looked like. What he loved, my Dad loved making miniatures, crafting, building houses, books, tools, castles and stonework, plus much more. When I created this miniature room box, I wanted a little piece of these things he loved to be in here, so I can look at these same things he loved to look at and smile, since a piece of him is here. Some of the furniture pieces he made, pieces of the granfather clock, and table top of the center table. People ask me about the items in the room box and I get to talk about him all over again and it keeps his memories alive.
