The Governor RTW and the NEA

Why does Gov. Lynch Veto Right to Work?

Those following the this legislation RIGHT TO WORK understand that the governor has vetoed the bill. As it stands at this point it appears the Senate has the votes to override but the House vote is too close to call. Why the Governor vetoed the bill is open to speculation but the likely answer is that he and the unions are close.

The problem here is of course no one believes Lynch is against personal freedom yet his action denies the right to work, without paying unions, to NH empoyees. Perhaps the latest actions taken by the NEA, that's the largest teachers union in the US, will give Lynch a reason to rethink his position. It has been reported in the national news that the NEA assessed- that's in addition to dues- the membership, said to be 3.2 million, $10.00 per person. The union leadership is reported to have explained this money would be used to help re-elect President Obama and like minded candidates. There's the rub or issue if you please.

WITHOUT right to work in place, employees who may not agree with the principles of the designated recipients will be forced to support them. C'mon Governor, is that fair? I'll bet no one told you where to send your political campaign contributions. Why should others who want to work, stay off welfare, send ther kids to college, and buy a house be forced to go against their principles?
