Help us welcome the three sculptors for the 25th Annual Andres Institute of Art Bridges & Connections International Sculpture Symposium. The ceremony from 1 - 2pm will introduce the sculptors and include a keynote address by award-winning cartoonist Marek Bennett. At 2:30pm, join a guided sculpture hike (short and longer options) or do a Sketchbook Cartooning workshop including some sketching along the sculpture trails. ($5 materials fee)

The image for this event is by Marek Bennett, depicting the activity at the Studio during last year's symposium.

The Symposium runs for three weeks, during which time you can watch the artists at work up at the Weidman Studio on the Hill, Monday - Friday. The last couple of days will involve moving and installing the new works along the trails. The Closing Ceremony with the unveilings will be Sunday, October 5 at 1:00pm.

The Andres Institute of Art (AIA) is a completely volunteer-run organization. Other than the materials fee, these events are offered free with donation requested. The AIA features a 140-acre sculpture park situated on a former ski hill in Brookline, NH. There are 10 miles of trails with 104 sculptures trailside, made by artists representing over 50 countries. The park is open to the public daily, dawn to dusk, for free with donation requested. We are dog friendly (leashed) and carry-in carry-out for humans and dogs.

Look for the Blues Concert event listed for the evening following the Opening Day events. It is a fundraising concert with top notch musicians in a rustic, resonant room. Join us!
