Bedford Women’s Club Festival of Trees and Holiday Market
The Bedford Women’s Club Festival of Trees and Holiday Market has become a perennial “must do” community event in Bedford. This year, the magic of our festival will again be located at the Bedford Presbyterian Church. Dozens of fully decorated trees with fun themes will be on display and available to win in the raffle, along with holiday merchandise from local vendors and entertainment by local performers. More than 500 visitors attended the festival last year.
The Festival of Trees will be open to the public on Friday, December 5, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, December 6, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free. Raffle tickets will be on sale at the door for the chance to win a fully decorated tree. Anyone who donates canned or boxed food items for the Bedford Food Pantry will receive a free raffle ticket. Santa will listen to wishes and pose for you to take photos. There will also be a free craft area for children, door prizes, and more.
The Holiday Market will be integrated into the Festival with a few local merchants blended in with the tree displays. Vendors include Carly’s Cakes, Auntie B's Pastries, Herb and Vine, Bee Skin Care, Rocky Hill Apiaries, and Wood Art. The public will be able to get a jump on holiday shopping while strolling around viewing interesting and beautiful trees.
Local Businesses and civic groups have been invited to sponsor a tree by donating directly to the BWC. Our members have selected a theme for each sponsored tree and will decorate it accordingly. The Bedford Men’s Club is a platinum sponsor and will supply a 6-foot cut tree along with a $300 donation to decorate it in a classic style, including the tree stand, lights, ornaments, and tree skirt. Other platinum sponsors include Design Works, Awaken Med Spa, and the Bedford Lions Club (double platinum), whose tree theme will be revealed on December 6th. Gold sponsors include the Bedford Rotary Club, which will include gift cards from local businesses and Design Works. Silver sponsors include Bedford Village Inn. Each will have a decorated tree with themes and designs artfully accomplished by members of the Bedford Women’s Club. For civic groups, and individuals or business who wish to demonstrate their creative side, BWC welcomes decorated trees. This year we have the Bedford Garden Club, Inner Athlete, Lavishly Holiday Flowers, Prostate Cancer Coalition, and White Willow Salon contributing their own fully decorated trees.
This year visitors will enjoy piano music by Donna Gamans of Manchester and several student bands from the Bedford Youth Performing Company.
The Bedford Women’s Club is pleased to bring back the Festival of Trees and Holiday Market for the fourth consecutive year.
