Souhegan Valley Chorus Seeks Interested Singers By Janine Leffler The Souhegan Valley Chorus is seeking interested singers for their spring semester of their 36th concert season. Weekly rehearsals are Tuesday evenings starting on January 19th from 7:00-9:00pm in the Milford Middle School Chorus room. The first two rehearsals are open for new members to come and visit and see what the chorus is all about. There are no auditions; and high school and adult singers are welcome in this community chorus. The theme for this spring semester is Spring and Comedy. Some of the songs the chorus will be singing include You Raise Me Up, May Day Carol, Light of A Clear Blue Morning and The Typewriter. The concert will be held at the Amato Center on Saturday May 14th. Souhegan Valley Chorus is directed by Jennifer K. Erdody of Milford and accompanied by Kimberly Vars Whitehead of Milford. The chorus consists of 60+ singers from Amherst, Milford and surrounding towns in the Souhegan valley and is comprised of people from age 16-85. We perform concerts December and May, as well as a showcase in June. Additionally we participate in the 4th Of July Amherst Parade, The Milford Holiday Stroll and the Milford Labor Day Parade.
